SHREVEPORT-Centenary College and head men's basketball coach Adam Walsh recently announced that Logan Lowery (Kingwood HS/Kingwood, TX) has accepted the institution's offer of admission and will join the Gents basketball team this upcoming season.

"I am very excited about Logan joining our program. He comes from one of the best programs in the state of Texas. He has a bright college future in front of him as he is still really growing and developing, plus he is a great young man that comes from a very strong family," said Walsh.

Lowery, a recent graduate of Kingwood High School in Kingwood, Texas is the son of Randy and Georgia Lowery.

As a two-year letterwinner for the Mustangs under the direction of Royce Huseman, Lowery excelled on the court his final two seasons helping his team to two District 19-5A Championships, two Kingwood Classic Tournament titles, and a 62-10 overall record.

"Logan was a big part of our success this year. The improvement he has made over this past year has been tremendous. Great kid, did everything we asked him to do. He has a great work ethic and can really shoot the ball," said Huseman.

Lowery also helped his team to an undefeated district season his senior year, while later advancing to the Area Finals with a 30-5 record.

During the 2008-09 year, Lowery was apart of a Regional Quarterfinalist team that produced a solid 32-5 record.

Standing at 6'5" and playing a small forward, Lowery averaged 9.0 points and 5.8 rebounds and was named Second Team All-District and to the Kingwood Classic All-Tournament team his senior season.

Lowery looks to pursue a degree in business while at Centenary in hopes of landing a career in banking.
