Gymnastics Welcomes Price to Squad

SHREVEPORT-Centenary College and head gymnastics coach Gretchen Goerlitz welcome Robyn Price (Marion, Ark./Marion HS) to the 2010-11 squad after she recently accepted the institution's offer of admission.

"Robyn will bring with her a passion for the sport of gymnastics which is very important to the Lady family," said Goerlitz.

Price comes to Centenary from Marion, Ark. and Marion High School and is the daughter of Stanley and Tricia Price.

As a Level 10 gymnast and a member of the Delta Gymnastics Center in West Memphis, Ark., Price won three State All-Around Championships, was a seven-time Regional qualifier as well as a Western Regional qualifier.

Price was under the director of Barry Adams for 11 years with Delta Gymnastics and posted event highs: All-Around (36.25), Beam (9.15), Vault (9.15), Bars (8.9) and Floor (9.3).

Away from the gym, Price was a Patriot Scholar Award recipient and was honored with as the Best Algebra, Geometry, and Family Dynamic Student Awards. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and HOSA while in high school.

"We are very excited for Robyn to share her love for the sport with us and watch her grow as a person and an athlete over the next four years," said Goerlitz.
