PREVIEW: Gents Soccer Continues on Road

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary men's soccer will continue is road touring this month as it heads to Nashville, Tenn. for the Mafiaoza's Invitational to face Belmont on Friday at 6:30 pm and Lipscomb on Sunday at 12:05 pm.

The Gents (0-1) are coming off a close 2-1 loss at Central Arkansas on Tuesday evening. In that game, Centenary's Heath Cox scored, while teammate Marcos Rodriguez assisted.

Belmont enters Friday's matchup with a 0-2 record and will play its first home game of the season. The Bruins have only put up one goal coming off the foot of Dan Meacock.

Lipscomb will meet Centenary on Sunday after playing Gardner-Webb on Friday. The Bison are 0-2 on the season with losses to SMU and Tulsa. Lipscomb has notched two goals in two official games played, one by Garrett Pettis and the latest by Isaac Pile.

Both opponents are NCAA Division I members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Following this weekend's contests, Centenary will remain on the road, taking on Houston Baptist on Sat., Sept. 18 at 7 pm.
