FORT WAYNE, Ind.-The Centenary volleyball team suffered another loss on the road as IPFW took a 3-0 win over the Ladies in Summit League action on Saturday evening.

Centenary (3-13, 0-9 Summit) are still searching for its first league win, but would fall in set one 25-21, set two 25-12, and set three 25-16

Junior setter Caitlin Neese contributed with 12 assists, while freshman setter Bethany Nuttall added 10.

Lopez made a team-best six digs on the defensive end.

Centenary showed an offensive consistency in set one, battling IPFW to the end. The Ladies would fall down early but would rebound to tie the score at 7-7 on a kill by Kern. Despite allowing the Mastodons to take a solid lead, Centenary would continue to challenge, bringing the score within two at 21-19 on an attacking error by IPFW. Two late Centenary miscues allowed the Mastodons to garner a set one win.

The second set saw IPFW record 18 kills and just one attacking error, which proved to be the difference maker. It was an 8-0 set until Kaye tallied a kill to put Centenary on the board.

Though, the offensive dominance from the Mastodons continued to remain consistent, holding Centenary to a mere seven kills.

In the final set, the Ladies again fell down by a large deficit of 6-0 before tallying a point off an IPFW attacking error. Back-to-back bad sets by Centenary continued to give way to an already solid offensive team in IPFW, making the score 10-4.

Despite being down, Centenary would gain some momentum late in the set when Lopez recorded two kills and Kaye and sophomore Shelby Singleton added one to bring it within six at 19-13.

IPFW would remain on top to sweep the Ladies by nine.
