Ladies Golf Captures Fourth Place at Rhodes Classic

TUNICA, Miss.-The Centenary women's golf team captured fourth place at the Rhodes Collegiate Classic with a team score of 670 over two rounds.

The Ladies (333-337) finished fourth behind Centre College (306-310, 616) in first, Birmingham Southern (327-319, 646) in second and Rhodes (324-328, 652) in third.

Centenary sophomore Kyndal Rose (77-82) led the Ladies with a sixth place finish and a 36-hole score of 159.

Following Rose was freshman Sarah Bradshaw (87-81) who tied for 15th with a score of 168 and fired a team-low second round of 81. Freshman teammate Kylee Goldthorn (83-91) showcased her best outing yet, finishing tied for 22nd with a score of 174.

Sophomore Rachel Grinnell (86-89) concluded one stroke behind Goldthorn in a tie for 24th with a 175 total, while classmate Justine Kemp (96-85) placed 30th after totaling 181 over two rounds.

Centre College's Emily Bachert fired rounds of 72 and 77 to capture the individual title at 149. She finished five strokes better than teammate Allison Hancock (80-74, 154) and Rhodes' Stephanie Mingos (75-79, 154) who tied for second place.

This tournament concludes the fall season for the Ladies. Centenary will be back in action on February 28 at the Univ. of South Alabama Jaguar Invitational.
