SHREVEPORT-After facing in-state rival, Northwestern State on Wednesday, the Centenary volleyball team will return to the Gold Dome to host Summit League foes, IPFW on Friday at 7 pm and Oakland, Saturday at 7 pm.

The Ladies are still looking for their first league win and own a 3-15 overall mark and a 0-10 mark in league play heading into the weekend contests.

Centenary is also looking to snap a 0-5 drought on its home court this season.

Junior hitter Stevie Kaye leads the offensive attack with 174 kills and 20 service aces, while sophomore Shelby Singleton has 115 kills this season. Setting up the offense is junior setter Caitlin Neese with 250 assists, while freshman Bethany Nuttall has 191.

Defensively, junior Jaclyn Lopez has tallied 167 digs, while Kaye has 123.

Centenary will meet IPFW, the 2009 Summit League tournament champions on Friday as the Mastodons enter with a 15-8 overall record and a 9-2 league record.

IPFW is led by Mayara Schlindwein with 314 kills, while Stephanie Lamberti has 229. Setter Megan Steenhuysen has recorded 859 assists, while Tessa McGill has 454 digs.

Centenary and IPFW met on Oct. 9 in Fort Wayne, Ind. when the Mastodons took a 3-0 win over the Ladies.

Oakland comes to Centenary on Saturday with a record of 11-12 and 6-5 against league members. The Golden Grizzlies are looking to snap a two-game home skid when they meet Oral Roberts on Friday prior to the contest in Shreveport.

Offensively, Meghan Bray leads with 258 kills and 23 service aces, while Ashley Nevelle has tallied 749 assists. Defensively, Brittany Dunn paces the squad with 416 digs.

Oakland and Centenary met back on Oct. 8 when the Golden Grizzlies secured a 3-0 win over the Ladies in Rochester, Mich.

Following the weekend contests, Centenary will travel to face IUPUI and Western Illinois next weekend.
