PREVIEW: Ladies Soccer Wraps Up Season On Road

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women's soccer team will wrap up its 2010 season on the road this weekend as the Ladies meet North Dakota State on Friday at 3 pm and South Dakota State on Sunday at 1 pm in Summit League action.

The Ladies enter the weekend games with an overall record of 4-11 and a 1-5 mark against league opponents. Centenary is coming off its first league win in a 2-1 victory over UMKC this past Friday.

Two Ladies notched their first career goals in junior Eren Corapcioglu and sophomore Courtney Cleveland, while sophomore Holden Penney was named Summit League's Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game winner against the Kangaroos and tallying two assists for four points.

On the season, Centenary is led by senior Kortney Causey with eight points on three goals and two assists, while junior Candace Rushing has seven points on two goals and three assists.

In goal, junior Kalyn Harris earned her fourth victory of the season in goal over UMKC. The keeper has made 84 saves in 1135 minutes played for a .737 save percentage.

North Dakota State meets Centenary on Friday with a 9-5-4 record and a 4-2-1 mark in the league. The Bison are coming off a 2-1 win over South Dakota State and are looking to stay 4-0 at home in conference play.

Offensively, Brooklyn Dyce leads the squad with 11 points on five goals and one assist, while Quin Ryan adds 10 points on four goals and two assists. In goal, Kalani Bertsch has started and played 12 contests, tallying 38 saves.

Following Friday's game, Centenary will make the trip to South Dakota State to meet the Jackrabbits would host Oral Roberts prior to the Ladies game. SDSU owns a 9-3-4 record and a 4-2-1 mark in league play.

The offense is led by Danni Healey with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Elisa Stamatakis has played every minute in goal for SDSU this season, recording 52 saves for a .788 save percentage.
