Ladies Basketball Visits Magnolia Manor
Monday, November 15, 2010
SHREVEPORT-With its season opener tipping off this week, the Centenary women's basketball team took time out of their practice schedule to visit Magnolia Manor Nursing Home on Saturday.

The Ladies took part in "activity time" playing bingo with the members of the elderly community.

"This was one of the most competitive games of bingo I've seen and we had a great time.  Everyone at Magnolia Manor was so nice and welcoming," said head coach Kristen Davis.

"We're thankful we were able to meet them and we're looking forward to a re-match of bingo."

Centenary student-athletes have continued to give back to the Shreveport community during the fall season and this is the second scheduled community service act by the women's basketball team this year.

The Ladies will open the 2010-11 season at Sam Houston State at Noon on Wednesday in Huntsville, Texas.
