SHREVEPORT-Centenary women's basketball senior Ashley Jackson is currently 16 points away from 1,000 career points as a four-year member of the Ladies basketball team. With two home Summit League contests this weekend, Jackson could potentially become one of four Ladies all-time to reach this milestone with games against Southern Utah on Saturday at 2 pm and Monday against UMKC at 7 pm in the Gold Dome.

Jackson, a senior forward from Shreveport and Loyola College Prep is daughter of Willie Jackson and Zebber Satcher-Jackson, who both hold Hall of Fame status for Centenary Athletics.

Ashley recently passed her mother in the all-time points category as Zebber Satcher tallied 876 career points during 1981-83. Ashley has scored 984 career points to this day and is just 22 away from cracking Top 3 all-time.

Father, Willie Jackson, reigns at the top of the Gents basketball all-time scoring list with 2,535 career points during the 1980-84 seasons. He is 11 points better than Ronnie McCollum, who sits in second all-time.

Ashley recorded her career-best 25 points this season against IPFW (12.31.10) and has 11 career double-doubles to her name, including five this season.
