Ladies Record Season-Best Score; Place Third at TWU

DENTON, Texas-The Centenary gymnastics team recorded its season-best team score in a 190.625 effort at TWU's Tri-Meet, but would place third behind TWU (194.150) and SEMO (192.425) on Saturday evening.

The Ladies (2-7) were led by two second-place finishes on the evening. Centenary's only All-Arounder of the night, sophomore Jessica Lieblich, captured runner up by finishing all four events, totaling 38.250.

Lieblich finished second behind TWU's Brittany Johnson with a 39.250.

Also earning Top 3 honors for the Ladies was senior Makensie Lant with a second-place honor on the Bars, scoring a 9.800. She finished behind Johnson's 9.825.

Centenary's best team effort came on the Bars with a 48.400. Behind Lant in scoring for the Ladies was Lieblich with a 9.700.

Leading the way on the Vault was sophomore Amanda Holt with a 9.700, followed by classmate Brittany Adams' 9.650.

On the Floor exercise, senior Marisa Schneider scored a 9.700 to lead Centenary, while Lieblich and senior Maille Vetros' 9.525 on Beam was a team-high.

Centenary will return to action on February 26 in another tri-meet hosted by TWU. The Ladies will join the Pioneers and Illinois State at 7 pm for competition.
