Hi Centenary supporters.  I hope you all have had a fantastic week.  We just returned home from our last road trip of the year.  We traveled to UMKC and Southern Utah.  Saturday morning we had a good shoot-around.  It was early for the kids, but they were all wide awake and in good spirits.  I wish our energy at shoot-around would've carried over into the game.  UMKC started the game as the much more aggressive team.  We couldn't find any offensive rhythm and our intensity on defensive was low.  UMKC took advantage of our lack of focus and capitalized on our turnovers.  It was obvious after the game; the players were upset with not only the loss, but our overall performance as well.

Sunday was another travel day for us.  This is the trip most of the players look forward to all year long.  To get to Southern Utah, we have to fly into Las Vegas and then drive to Cedar City, UT.  We arrived in enough time for us to go into Las Vegas and take in some of the sites.  The kids had a couple of hours to wonder around and not get into trouble.  After our Vegas visit, it was time for the drive to Cedar City.  For the three hour bus ride, we decided to watch a classic movie.  We watched "Beauty and the Beast."  Once we got to Utah, it was time to rest up for our game on Monday.

Monday's game had a 8 pm CT tip off time.  Southern Utah started off the game with a couple of fast break shots.  We found ourselves down early.  But we didn't quit, and clawed our way back.  I thought we did a good job of adjusting to the different sets by SUU.  At the end of the game, we had a couple of metal breakdowns on both offense and defense that put us in a tough spot.  We ended up losing the game by 10.  But I really feel that the players played well together and left everything on the court and held nothing back.

Our next game is this Saturday at 2 pm against Oral Roberts.  It is also our "Think Pink" game.  Admission is free to all.  Pink shirts will be given out based on availability. We really hope to see you in the Gold Dome wearing pink and cheering on your Ladies.

Hope you like the following quote by Francis Bacon.
