"Full Court Press" w/ Coach K

Hello all.  I only have one game to report on this week.  We played Oral Roberts, the top team in the conference, on Saturday.  This game was designated our "Think Pink" game to raise breast cancer awareness.  We had a great crowd at the game and it was a fun atmosphere. Michaela Berg, a former women's basketball player, helped coordinate games during time outs and at half time.  At half time the gymnastics team played a half court basketball game against the ZTAs.  I'm not sure who won, but it looked like a very interesting game.

The game didn't go so well for us.  We dug ourselves a pretty big hole from the start.  But I was proud of the players for continuing to fight and play hard.  When we slowed down and took our time, we were able to execute on offense.  Oral Roberts has some dominate players both on perimeter and in the paint.  ORU did a good job of moving the ball around and finding their open shooters.

We've had the past few days off.  Some of the players are making up tests and quizzes from our last road trip.  We'll be back in practice today to start preparing for IUPUI on Saturday and Western Illinois on Monday.  These are our last games of the year.  Saturday is our Senior Night.  We'd love to see you at the Gold Dome Saturday honoring our seniors who have worked so hard for Centenary for the past four years.

Hope you enjoy the quote for the week by John Churton Collins.

"In prosperity our friends know us; in adversity we know our friends."
