Ladies Golf Rounds Out USA Lady Jaguar Classic

MOBILE, Ala.-The Centenary women's golf team cut 12 strokes off in its final round to finish 12th at the USA Lady Jaguar Classic on Tuesday with a three-round total team score of 1025, held in Mobile, Ala. at Alzalea City Golf Club.

The Ladies opened the two-day event with a 345 in round one, but struggled to add a stroke at 346 in the second round. However, Centenary would bounce back with a squad-best 81 score from sophomore Kyndal Rose in the final round to shoot a 334.

Rose (82-82-81) led Centenary with a t-45th with a 48-hole score of 245. Behind her sophomore Justine Kemp (90-86-82), who came out strong in the final 18 holes, to fire off an 82 after shooting a 90 in her opening round. Kemp finished t-53rd with a score of 258.

Sophomore Rachel Grinnell (85-89-87) and freshman Sarah Bradshaw (88-89-84) each totaled 261 to finish t-56th, while freshman Kylee Goldthorn (92-93-94) placed 63rd with a 269.

Centenary was 161 shots over par and 111 shots behind tournament winner, Samford (300-308-306, 914). South Alabama (306-303-307, 916) and Southern Miss (306-309-301) each tallied 916, tying for second place.

The Ladies will return to action on March 21-22 at Midwestern State's Invitational held in Wichita Falls, Texas.
