Gymnastics Takes Third in Mizzou's Quad Meet

COLUMBIA, Missouri-The Centenary gymnastics team showcased a consistent effort across all four events to garner third place honors in Mizzou's Quad Meet with a score of 190.750 on Friday evening.

The Ladies earned their fourth win of the season, after finishing ahead of Temple (190.125). Mizzou captured first place (194.775), while SEMO (194.675) finished second.

Despite not placing in the Top 3 in any event, Centenary tallied solid scores across the board all evening.

Leading the way on Vault was Christy Martinez with a 9.700, good enough for eighth place, while teammate Meg Crowley was close behind with a 9.675 for a tie for 10th.

On Bars, Makensie Lant tied for seventh with a 9.675 to lead the Ladies, while Jessica Lieblich's 9.575 on Beam put her in 16th place to top Centenary.

Ladies' Lauren Carlton and Marisa Schneider tied for eighth with a 9.725 to pace Centenary on the Floor routine. Lieblich was Centenary's only All-Arounder, finishing seventh with a four-event total of 37.450.

Centenary will return to action on Sunday when it travels to SEMO for a dual meet beginning at 2 pm.
