Gold Dome Update: August 9, 2011
Tuesday, August 9, 2011
SHREVEPORT-Centenary's iconic Gold Dome is undergoing a floor renovation that began on Saturday, August 6. The previous floor remains, but new paint, stain, and lettering will begin to take presence over the next week or so.

The floor has been completely stripped of its original paint, including the previous Summit League icon that rested in the basketball lanes. The newly painted floor will be designed with Centenary's official lettering (Eurostile) and will also feature the words, Ladies and Gents, along the sidelines.

An NCAA logo in natural finish will mark the check-in spot for basketball players.

The former Summit League school banners were taken down, clearing a spot for the future conference schools in the American Southwest Conference.

The Ladies volleyball team will be the first to use the newly updated floor when they report to practice on Thursday, August 18. The Ladies first home game is slated for Saturday, Sept. 17 against UNO at 4 pm in the Gold Dome.
