PINEVILLE, La.-Senior Marcos Rodriguez netted two goals in Centenary's 4-0 shutout win over Louisiana College on Thursday evening in ASC play.

The Gents improved to an impressive 4-1 start, recording their third straight ASC victory for a 3-0 record and third straight shutout win.

In the win, Rodriguez along with juniors Spencer Nickerson and John Finn contributed to the offensive effort, while junior Adam Ghaemmaghami and freshman Gabriel Zahm tallied an assist.

Centenary gained a 1-0 advantage at the 31-minute mark when Rodriguez unassisted goal found the back of the net to put the Gents up late in the opening half.

It took nearly an hour for the Gents to begin their surge, but Nickerson's second goal of his career was good from Ghaemmaghami for a 2-0 lead. Rodriguez would build on the lead with his second goal of the game on a penalty shot near the 73-minute mark.

Junior newcomer John Finn would cap off the win when Zahm found him for his first goal of his career with just 12 minutes remaining.

Junior goal keeper Robbie Ramirez, again, picked up the win, his fourth of the year and third shutout, tallying two saves in goal.

Centenary out shot Louisiana College, 10-5.

Centenary will travel to Mississippi College on Saturday for a 4 pm game in Jackson, Miss.
