SHREVEPORT-The Centenary men's golf team will test its skills on Sunday when it welcomes the LSU Tigers men's golf team to Southern Trace Country Club for a dual match.

The Gents are set host LSU in a one-day event with the first tee time beginning at 8:30 am. The teams will play a six count, five format match with Centenary playing two individuals and LSU three.

Centenary head coach Emlyn Aubrey is no stranger to LSU as he was a 1984 SEC Individual Champion for the Tigers. He also played on the 1986 SEC Championship team who finished third nationally. Aubrey was a two-time All-American for LSU and went on to win several Opens on the PGA and Nationwide Tours. Aubrey turned pro in 1986 following graduation at LSU.

Centenary will look to freshman Zander Winston, who was a Top 10 finisher in the Gents' debut meet at Delta State. Winston tied for sixth with a one-over 145 score after firing a 71 and 74.

Also playing for the Gents this weekend will be freshmen Jamie Gibson and Hank Strickler, along with junior Jay Frazier and freshmen Matt Delaney and Andres Forese, who will play in his first collegiate tournament.

Playing as individuals for the match will be freshmen Arni Sigurdsson and John Sidery, who are each making their collegiate debuts.

Centenary will travel to the UT-Tyler Invitational on Oct. 3-4 held at the Cascades CC in Tyler, Texas.
