Kemp in Third; Ladies in Fourth at UT-Tyler Invitational

TYLER, Texas-The Centenary women's golf team sits in fourth place out of five teams following Monday's opening round of UT-Tyler's Fall Invitational. The Ladies fired a first-round score of 363 on the par 71 course.

Junior Justine Kemp is coming off a career-low round last week to fire a +10, 81 to sit in third place overall heading into the final round on Tuesday. Kemp is just two shots out of the lead.

Classmate Rachel Grinnell finished today's round in ninth place with an 84, while sophomore Sarah Bradshaw is in 20th with a 91. Classmate Kylee Goldthorn fired a 107 to finish the day in 26th place.

Texarkana Community College leads the women's side with a +50, 334. UT-Tyler is in second and three shots back with a 337, followed by Schreiner in third at 338. UT-Dallas (440) rounds out the field in fifth behind Centenary (363).

Centenary will wrap up the tournament with one round slated to begin Tuesday morning.
