Ladies Fall in Five-Setter at MC

CLINTON, Miss.-The Centenary volleyball team fell in its final ASC match of the season in five sets, 3-2, on Tuesday evening on the road.

The Ladies' record dropped to 13-11, while falling in three straight matches. Centenary earned a 25-23 set one win, but would fall 25-19 in set two. It rebounded for a 25-19 se three win, before falling 25-21 and 15-10 in the final two sets.

Junior middle blocker Shelby Singleton tied her career-high in kills with 21 to lead Centenary, while senior Jaclyn Lopez and freshman Brooke Bahlinger contributed with 12 kills. Senior setter Caitlin Neese added 36 assists in the offensive effort.

Defensively, senior Taylor Gilmour made 24 digs, while Lopez and Bahlinger each notched double-doubles with 14 digs. Singleton tallied four block solos and assisted in two block assists.

Despite forcing Mississippi College into 38 attacking errors and out hitting the Choctaws, Centenary was out killed 63 to 40 and allowed the home team to tally 12 service aces.
