Preview: Gents Aim for 13th Win in Final Games of Season

SHREVEPORT-Having the most successful season since 2002, the Centenary men's soccer team looks to continue its winning ways when it travels to UT-Dallas on Thursday at 7 pm and University of the Ozarks on Saturday at 3 pm for its final games of the 2011 year.

The Gents are riding a four-game win streak into the weekend games with an overall record of 11-3-1 and a 9-2-1 mark in conference play. Centenary has also collected three straight shutout wins, two of which came in the Gents' home finales.

A LOOK AT STATS
Centenary is led by senior Marcos Rodriguez' 20 points on seven goals and six assists; both are team highs. 13 different Gents have scored this season, including five goals by junior Spencer Nickerson, who also sank the game-winner in Saturday's home finale over Howard Payne. Junior goal keeper Robbie Ramirez has played 1,215 minutes in goal, collecting 61 saves for a .847 percentage. The Dallas, Texas native is 10-3-1 on the year and has tallied seven shutouts.

A LOOK AT UT-DALLAS
UT-Dallas is now 12-2-2 overall after a 3-0 win over Ozarks on Tuesday at home. The Comets rode an 8-game win streak up until a loss on Oct. 22 to UT-Tyler. Michael Darrow leads UT-Dallas' offense with 17 points on eight goals and one assist. Steven Nicknish has played 1,372 minutes in goal, collecting 47 saves.

A LOOK AT OZARKS
Ozarks is coming off a loss at UT-Dallas and fell to 7-10-1 on the year. Offensively, Eloy Salgado leads Ozarks with 24 points on nine goals and six assists, while Neil Thompson has played 1,444 minutes in goal, tallying 73 saves.
