Preview: Ladies Take the Road for Two

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women's basketball team will hit the road this week after playing their last five games in the Gold Dome for two conference games, beginning with LeTourneau on Thursday at 5:30 pm, followed by UT-Tyler on Saturday at 1 pm.

The Ladies enter the weekly games with a record of 5-11 and 5-8 against ASC schools this season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Centenary women's basketball team had five players notch double-figures in a solid 77-61 win over ETBU on Monday evening in the Gold Dome. The win was also the second over the Tigers this season as they produced a seven-point victory on the road last month. Junior Jalena Sanders recorded her second straight double-double and fifth this season, leading Centenary with 19 points and 12 rebounds. She was followed by senior Megan Daniel with 18 points and seven rebounds. Also scoring in double-figures was junior Vashni Sharp Moore with 12 points, junior Kelly Johnstone and freshman Dio Warr with 11 points.

A LOOK AT OVERALL STATS
Senior Megan Daniel paces the team with 14.6 ppg, followed by juniors Jalena Sanders and Vashni Sharp-Moore's 13.0 ppg and 12.3 ppg, respectively. The Ladies are led in rebounding by Sanders with 7.6 rpg, while Sharp-Moore follows with 6.3. As a team, Centenary is averaging 65.0 ppg and allowing their opponents 77.1 ppg.

A LOOK AT LETOURNEAU
LeTourneau enters Thursday's contest with an 8-7 record and a 5-7 mark against ASC opponents. The YellowJackets are looking to snap a two-game skid as they fell 52-59 on the road at UT-Dallas on Saturday. Sharday Cotton paces LeTourneau in scoring with 12.7 ppg and in rebounding with 9.6 rpg.

HISTORY
Centenary and LeTourneau will meet for the fifth time in history on Thursday. The Ladies currently own the all-time record at 4-0. The last time these two teams met was back in 2004 where Centenary earned a 96-66 win.

A LOOK AT UT-TYLER
UT-Tyler will meet ETBU on Thursday before hosting Centenary on Saturday. The Patriots are 8-7 overall and 5-7 in conference play. UT-Tyler is looking to snap a three-game skid, having lost its last game, 57-62 at Ozarks.

HISTORY
Centenary and UT-Tyler will meet for the third time in history on Saturday. The two teams have split the series, 1-1.
