PINEVILLE, La. – After having its last two series rescheduled due to rain, the Centenary softball squad returns to the diamond Tuesday for a doubleheader at American Southwest Conference foe No. 20 Louisiana College.

Centenary (0-8) and LC (9-1, 2-0) will face off at 5 and 7 p.m. before the Ladies stay in Alexandria to battle LSU-Alexandria Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a single contest, the first of three straight non-conference games.

The Ladies are looking to snap their losing streak while the Lady Cats aim to build on their six-game winning streak, which has catapulted them into the top 20 in the Division-III softball rankings.

With no home games so far this year, the Ladies will host its first contest against Millsaps March 15 to continue non-ASC play, the start of six straight home games. After the brief midweek road trip to Alexandria, the Ladies host 18 of their next 22 at the Centenary Softball Complex.

Four Ladies are batting better than the .300 mark, led by Jessica McDonald’s .381 average. Kalyn Harris (.333) has eight hits in 24 at bats while Lauren Swift is just behind with a .320 mark. Reggie Salvatore is 7-for-22 on the year, .318, and Nicole Warren is flirting with the .300 plateau at .296 (8-for-27).

In the circle, Lynsi Unruh boasts a team-high 10 strikeouts in three starts and five appearances with one complete game.
