SHREVEPORT – Garrett Whipple and Michael Reeks lead Centenary into Thursday’s match, breaking from American Southwest Conference play to host Linfield College at the Centenary Tennis Complex at 3:30 p.m.

Both teams have streaks at stake as the Gents are 3-2 overall thanks to a three-match win streak after their 0-2 start. Linfield is riding a three-match losing streak, which dropped the Wildcats to 2-7 on the year.

Whipple and Reeks each boast a 4-1 record for the Gents in singles play this year. Whipple started the year playing in the No. 3 slot, but moved up to the second seed in the last two matches, winning both convincingly. Reeks is a mainstay as the fourth seed. Neither has lost since the season opener against UT-Arlington. Evan Magill holds a 3-2 mark, 3-1 in ASC play and has won three straight after a 0-2 start.

The Gents return to conference play against East Texas Baptist March 27 before closing the season with a three-game home stand.
