SHREVEPORT – Centenary’s five-match win streak came to a halt Saturday afternoon as visiting Louisiana-Lafayette, which is ranked in No. 57 in the country, won 9-0 at the Centenary Tennis Complex in men’s tennis action.

The Gents fall to 5-3, but more importantly, are still 4-1 in American Southwest Conference play. The Rajin’ Cajuns jump to 13-6 and look to improve on their previous national ranking.

Centenary returns to action April 4 in Monroe, La., to face ASC foe Mississippi College in a match that was rescheduled due to inclement weather. The Gents wrap up the season with two home contests against Arkansas-Pine Bluff April 11 and UT-Tyler April 14.

ULL proved to be too much for Centenary as top-seed doubles team Sam Grace and Evan Magill was the toughest test in an 8-3 loss.

No. 4 Michael Reeks tallied four games in his 6-3, 6-1 loss, the most of any Gent Saturday afternoon.
