SHREVEPORT – It’s been two weeks since Centenary competed on the tennis courts, but the Gents have no plans of letting that hinder their four-match American Southwest Conference win streak as UT-Tyler visits the Centenary Tennis Complex Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

The Gents (5-3, 4-1) are coming off a 9-0 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette March 31, but haven’t lost in ASC play since dropping the opener to the University of the Ozarks March 10 on the road. UT-Tyler (11-5, 3-0) visits, riding a four-match win streak and will host LeTourneau Saturday morning before coming to Shreveport for the afternoon match.

Michael Reeks and Garrett Whipple lead the Gents in singles play at 6-2. Whipple is 3-1 as both the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds while Reeks has stayed the No. 4 seed the entire season. The duo also boasts a team-best 6-2 mark in doubles play.

Evan Magill is two games above .500 at 5-2 while top-seeded Sam Grace and No. 5 John Reeks are 4-4.

As a team, the Gents are 28-20 in singles play and 22-8 in ASC play, a 73.3 winning percentage, and hold a 10-5 ASC doubles record.

After hosting UT-Tyler, the Gents are scheduled to wrap up the season April 21 against UT-Dallas at the Centenary Tennis Complex.
