Gym Talk with Christine Langston
Thursday, October 25, 2012

Hi everybody! Junior Christine Langston here with this week's Gym Talk!

This week was a great week back after Fall Break. It was fun to be home for a few days but even better to get back here with my friends and Centenary family. This week we started wearing our team gear so that all of us match during our open gym days! On Wednesday evening we had a team dinner and Coach Jackie fixed us spaghetti and meatballs. We shared some positive thoughts with each other and now I have a piece of paper with all the good things my teammates think of me taped on the inside of my desk so I can see it every day!

This weekend we had three recruits! One got here on Thursday and stayed with freshman Stephanie Strickler.  Two others came Saturday and left Monday afternoon. I took one of them to the airport and had the pleasure of having lunch with both, as well as a mom. We had a lot of fun having them here and showing off our team and our school that we are all so proud of and I hope they had fun as well!

At gym on Sunday we had "Super Hero Day.” We all dressed up as a super hero. I was Superman, and fellow junior, Robyn, was Batman, our other fellow junior, Tawnee, was "Super Tawnee"! It was a lot of fun to see all of the creativity our team can come up with in regards to something so simple as super heroes. Sylvia even dressed up as “Super Coach” dressing just like Coach Jackie, wearing her backpack on one shoulder, carrying her water bottle and she even wore glasses with some bling on them!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed it, tune in next week for Robyn Price's edition of Gym Talk.
