SHREVEPORT- Centenary Men’s Basketball will open its 2012-13 season with an exhibition game against Texas Christian University (TCU) Monday afternoon at 5pm. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest, which is channel 34 for people watching on Centenary’s campus.

“We are excited for this to be the start of our season,” head coach Adam Walsh said. “This will be a great opportunity to see where we are at as a team going against a Big 12 opponent in preparation for the true start to our season on Thursday.”

The game will count as a regular season game for TCU, who are coming into play today 1-0 after defeating Cal Poly in their home opener last Friday 53-46.

After finishing last season 11-11, the Gents will be looking to build on that with a strong showing this year.

Centenary will begin its regular season this Thursday on November 15th as they tip-off against Goucher College in the Shenandoah Tip-Off Tournament at 6pm. They will also play either Shenandoah or Patrick Henry at 5pm on Friday, November 16th.

Be sure to tune in this afternoon and support your Gents.
