Ladies Fall to Lamar

BEAUMONT, Texas – Dionecia Warr had a double-double for Centenary as she scored a team-high 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. However, three Lamar players scored double figures and turnovers cost the Ladies as they fell 88-30 Thursday night.

Centenary (0-1) struggled from the field, shooting 17.9 percent, and the Lady Cardinals defense forced 32 turnovers. Lamar also won the battle on the boards 52-46.

Kalis Loyd led all scorers with 22 points and pulled down 12 boards. Asia Booker contributed 14 points and had 6 of Lamar’s 24 steals.  

Vashni Sharp-Moore followed Warr in scoring with 9 points. Brianna Edwards tied Warr for the team lead on rebounds with 10.

Centenary continues play on November 19 at Louisiana College at 5:30 pm.
