Lake Charles, LA – The Centenary Ladies were unable to get much offense going Tuesday night as they fell to the McNeese Cowgirls in non-Conference action 90-33. The Ladies dropped to 0-4 for the year while the Cowgirls improved to 4-2.

A quick jumper by Vashni Sharp-Moore at the 19:15 mark put the Ladies up 2-0 to start the night. McNeese quickly tied and regained the lead a few possessions later. A 12-0 run midway through the first half was all McNeese needed to put the Ladies away.

Dionecia Warr led Centenary in scoring with 13 points while Sharp-Moore followed with 8 on the evening. The Ladies struggled from the floor, shooting 23 percent.

McNeese shot well in this game, shooting 41 percent from the field and forcing 32 turnovers. The Cowgirls had four players scoring double-figures. Jayln Johnson led all scorers with 18 points, while Allison Baggett followed a point behind with 17. Cecilia Okoye and Shayln Riley added 16 points apiece.

The Ladies will return home for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener on Friday against Trinity University at 6 p.m. The Gents will follow at 8 p.m.
