SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary women’s basketball team closes the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 16 as the Maroon and White host Austin College at 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as part of Centenary’s Pink Game promotion. Fans who wear pink will be admitted free.

The Ladies, who are coming off a 71-57, win at Colorado College, look to claim the season series against the Roos after taking a 65-54 decision on the road. AC edged Centenary earlier this season in the Gold Dome 66-58.

Vashni Sharp-Moore continues to lead the Maroon and White in scoring. The Shreveport, La., senior, who will be honored after the contest, is averaging 19.5 points this season. The SCAC’s leading scorer has 21 games in double figures, including 19 consecutive. 11 of the guard’s scoring efforts have ended with 21-plus points as she has led the Ladies in scoring in 17 affairs.

Dionecia Warr joins Sharp-Moore in scoring double figures with 15.4 points per game. The San Antonio, Texas, sophomore has posted double-digits in 20 contests this season. The guard ranks fourth in the conference in scoring.

Briana Edwards paces the Maroon and White on the glass with 9.3 rebounds per contest. The Shreveport, La., product has 11 games with double figure boards and leads the team in doubles-doubles with six.

In the last meeting the trio each scored in double digits with Sharp-Moore leading the way with 18 points. Warr added 17 with 10 points coming from Edwards. In the first outing, Sharp-Moore recorded 21 points with 13 coming from Warr. Rebecca Thompson led the squad in rebounds with 15.

Erin Riley leads the Roos in scoring with 12 points per game with Brooke Melton averaging 6.8 rebounds. AC snapped a four-game skid on Feb. 9 with a 66-59 win at Dallas. Brittany Stepanski led the Roos in scoring with 16 points followed by 14 from Riley.

The SCAC Basketball Championships begin on Friday, Feb. 22 at Austin College. Times and opponents are to be determined.
