SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary women’s basketball team prepares for its first-ever Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Friday, Feb. 22 as the Ladies face fifth-seeded Dallas at 1 p.m.

The contest is the fourth meeting between the two squads this season as the Maroon and White holds a 2-1 advantage over the Crusaders. The Ladies claimed the first two meetings before missing out on the sweep falling 86-83 at the Gold Dome on Jan. 19.

The Ladies are led by lone senior Vashni Sharp-Moore. The Shreveport, La., native ranks among the top 10 leaders in the conference in three categories; including the league’s top scorer at 19.8 points per game. The guard averages 6.9 rebounds per game – seventh in the SCAC - along with 4.8 assists – second in the conference.

Sharp-Moore is joined by teammate Dionecia Warr who is among the leaders in the SCAC in scoring and rebounds. The sophomore averages 15.3 points per game – fourth in the conference - while averaging 6.5 rebounds per outing which ranks 11th.

Briana Edwards paces the Ladies on the glass. The Shreveport, La., product ranks second in the SCAC in rebounds with 9.2 per game.

Dallas seeks to snap a two-game skid entering the weekend. UD fell at Southwestern and Trinity to close the regular season.

The Crusaders are led by senior guard Kylie Yoshimura who averaged 14.6 points per game - fifth in the SCAC - while dishing out a league-best 6.6 assists per game. Yoshimura is joined by Christy Allen and Brooke Hagemann who also averaged double-figures in scoring  with 11.8 and 10.9 points per game respectively.

The winner of the contest draws top-seeded Trinity on Saturday at 1 p.m.
