SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary softball team hits three homeruns on the afternoon, but finished out the Louisiana College Round Robin with a pair of losses. The Ladies fell 11-3 to LeTourneau to the opening game of the day and 15-5 to Millsaps.

Lauren Swift and Cadie Hancock each registered homers on the day.

Swift logged a two-run homerun in the setback to the Yellowjackets. The Beaumont, Texas, native finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored. Hancock and Erin Crites each logged hits in the game as well for the Maroon and White.

Both of Hancock’s homers came in the contest against the Majors. The sophomore placed the Ladies on the board with a solo homer in the first and followed with a three-run dinger in the third inning. Whitney Pearson and Lynsi Unruh each joined Hancock with multiple hits. Nicole Warren, Swift and Jessica McDonald all logged base knocks in the effort as well.

The Ladies combined for seven errors in the two contests to leave the doors open for the MC and LETU.

Unruh picked up the loss in the first contest giving up seven runs, two earned, on nine hits along with two walks.

Lindsey Sconce took the loss in the second contest with three innings pitched allowing eight hits and nine runs – two earned – with a walk and two strikeouts.
