Ladies place fourth at Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Centenary gymnastics team took fourth place (190.425) in Saturday’s quad contest featuring: Minnesota, Arkansas, and Nebraska. Host school, Minnesota, (196.600) won the meet, followed by Arkansas (196.350), and then Nebraska (196.150). This was the fifth consecutive meet for the Maroon and White to score at least a 190.000.

The Ladies opened on Floor with their best event score of the night (48.000) led by Meg Crowley (9.725) and Kellie Slater (9.600).

Placing the highest individually was Robyn Price (9.750) on beam in a tie for ninth. Teammates Tawnee Hadd (9.650), Jessica Lieblich (9.600) and Meg Crowley (9.550) also posted good scores.

Leading the way on uneven bars was Lieblich (9.725) finishing just .025 points under her season best. Price (9.700) and Stephanie Strickler (9.600) contributed to the top three highest finals on the apparatus.

On vault, it was Price (9.675) and Christy Martinez (9.625) that finished with the top scores on the event.

Price (38.575) improved from last week’s meet at Arkansas which was a 38.225 to finish with her second highest all-around score of the competition season. Lieblich (38.225) also notched her second best finish this season.

Centenary enjoys some time off and concludes its regular competition season.
