SHREVEPORT, La. – Fresh off a series win over sixth-ranked Trinity, the Centenary baseball team prepares to close out a season-long homestand on Tuesday, Mar. 12 against LeTourneau. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The series win marks the third Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. After a two-hour delay because of weather halted the start of the game, the Gents rallied back in the seventh inning to capture a 6-5 series clinching win.

The Gents pitching staff held the top hitting team in the conference to a .278 average at the dish holding the Tigers to just nine runs on the weekend, including just one run in the nightcap on Saturday anchored by Taylor Henry’s complete-game performance. Henry’s effort on the bump garnered him SCAC Pitcher of the Week laurels. Centenary finished with a 2.62 ERA for the three games.

A trio of Gents posted four hits on the weekend led by Craig Littleman, who tallied three doubles, including the game-winner on Sunday. Jemari James and Matt Creamer also registered four hits for the weekend with Creamer leading the team with four RBI.

James leads the Maroon and White at the dish with a .444 average on the season and is one of six Gents with double figure RBI on the season with 11 - which is tied for third on the squad with Marc Martinez and Ben Schweinfurth.

Tyler Clakley leads the squad with 14 RBI on the season while Christian Sebastien sits second with 12 runs driven in. Creamer rounds out the crew with 10 RBI on the year. Craig Littleman paces Centenary with 21 hits.

On the bump, a trio of Gents has totaled 20-plus innings of work led by Layton Tromba’s 34.1. Cole Thompson, who leads the squad in strikeouts with 25, sits second with 31 innings of action. Henry has registered 23.2 innings with a 0.76 ERA in seven appearances.

Following the midweek action, Centenary returns to conference action on Saturday, Mar. 16 at Austin College.
