SHREVEPORT, La – The Centenary softball team continues its short homestand with a doubleheader on Monday at 4 p.m. against Hendrix College. It marks the beginning of a long week that features eight games over the next seven days.

The Ladies (1-15) are looking to snap a seven-game slide that continued last Friday against Houston-Victoria, as the Maroon and White dropped both in the twinbill.

Lauren Swift had a 3-for-4 day combined between games one and two. Cadie Hancock went 2-for-3 in game one and scored a run along with Swift. Caitlyn Gentry and Erin Crites each had an RBI in the loss.

On the season, Swift leads the Ladies offensively with a .457 batting average and two homeruns. Crites, a later addition to the season, has gotten off to a nice start hitting .294. Hancock continues to lead the Maroon and White in homers with three and 10 RBI.

The Warriors (9-5) enter play after splitting a doubleheader with Austin College, winning 5-3 before dropping game two 8-6 on Sunday.

Centenary next time out travels to Southeastern University on Wednesday, Mar. 20 for a 6 p.m. game before hosting a five game homestand beginning the following day.
