SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Centenary softball team dropped both games at Trinity 8-0 and were swept on Sunday afternoon. The Ladies (4-30, 3-9 SCAC) have dropped six straight, all coming on this latest road trip.

Trinity improves to 23-12 overall and remains unblemished in conference play.

The Ladies offensive woes continued, picking up only four hits combined for the second straight day. Lauren Swift had a hit in both contests. The Beaumont, Texas native smacked two doubles and added to her team lead with eight.  

Nicole Warren and Lynsi Unruh also picked base knocks for the Maroon and White in game two.

Unruh (4-19) was saddled with both losses in the circle. She allowed four runs on seven hits, while walking one and striking out three in 3.1 innings in game one.

In the later matchup, the Houston, Texas native went 5.0 innings and allowed eight runs, with three actually being earned.

Sydney Friday (10-7) picked up the win in game one, tossing a one hitter in five innings and striking out three.

Kaci Wellik (10-3) also saw action throwing 6.0 innings in game two and getting the win. She fanned 10 batters.

Centenary concludes this road trip with rescheduled games at the University of Dallas on Wednesday, Apr. 17 beginning at 5 p.m.
