Sharp-Moore named to LSWA All-Louisiana Team

RUSTON, La. – Centenary’s Vashni Sharp-Moore was named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Team, as announced by the association.

The Shreveport, La., native, who was named to the third team, is one of 21 players honored by the association.

Sharp-Moore averaged 19.9 points and 6.8 assists in her final season with the Ladies – earning All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team laurels. She led the SCAC in scoring and was among the top 10 rebounders in the conference with 6.8 – which ranked seventh. The lone senior on a squad comprised of a combined 12 sophomores and freshmen, she ranked among the top 10 in the conference in 10 individual categories. She concluded her four-year career with 900-plus points which included 47 career contests with double figures scoring.

“It is great to see Vashni being recognized for all of her dedication to the game of basketball and Centenary,” said head coach Kristen Davis. “She always came to practice ready to work and took pride in making herself and our team better.  Vashni’s leadership and competitive spirit were key components for our team success.”

The team is selected by media and sports information directors across the state.
