Swift named to SCAC All-Tournament Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Centenary’s Lauren Swift was named to the 2013 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, announced by the conference office.

Swift led the Maroon and White this season with 43 hits, 19 RBI, 10 doubles and two triples while tying Cadie Hancock for the top spot in homeruns with four. The senior from Beaumont, Texas, ranks among the leaders in the SCAC in batting average with a .422 clip at the dish.

Swift was named to the All-SCAC First Team becoming the first Ladies’ player to receive first team accolades since 2009.

Centenary concluded its season with a pair of losses in the SCAC Championship falling 7-6 to Southwestern before dropping a 6-0 decision to host Dallas.
