GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team dropped a pair of straight set decisions on Sunday afternoon to Southwestern and Schreiner on the final day of the SU-hosted Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Divisional. Centenary falls to 1-16 overall and 0-7 in the conference.

Sarah Sumner led the Ladies with 17 kills on the day, including 10 against Schreiner. The junior finished the two-day, four-match divisional with 31 kills. Brooke Bahlinger, who tied with Sumner for a team-leading seven kills against Southwestern, paced the squad defensively with 24 digs. The junior registered 13 against the Pirates and added 11 versus Schreiner in the final match of the divisional.

Beth Nuttall added 38 assists for the day with 21 coming against Schreiner. Nuttall dished out double-digit assists in all four matches for the Ladies.

Macy Pool led Southwestern with nine kills in its three-set win (25-10, 25-15, 25-19) with Callie Du Perier paced the Mountaineers with eight kills en route to its 25-23, 25-16, 25-13 decision.

Centenary returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as the Ladies open their home slate against East Texas Baptist at 6 p.m. The match is the first of two inside the Gold Dome this week for the Maroon and White as LeTourneau comes to campus on Wednesday, Oct. 2 for a 7 p.m. match.
