SHREVEPORT, La. – After snapping a three-game skid with a 2-0 win over Schreiner, the Centenary women’s soccer team returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action this weekend as the Ladies travel to Texas Lutheran (Friday, Oct. 11) and SU (Sunday, Oct. 13). Match time is slated for 1 p.m. at TLU and Noon against the Mountaineers.

This weekend’s action marks the second half of conference play and the second meetings with the Bulldogs and Mountaineers.

Carly Slovensky provided both scores against the SU last weekend – marking her second, multi-goal performance of the season. The two goals have her tops on the team and tied for ninth in the conference with five on the season –surpassing Amanda Atwell’s three goals.

Madison Alexander is tied for ninth in assists in the conference with three this season after assisting on both of Slovensky’s scores this weekend.

Erica Coker leads the SCAC in saves with 85 in her first season with the Maroon and White. Coker, who leads Brigid Hasson of Dallas by 13 saves this season, has a 79.4-save percentage which is second in the SCAC.

TLU’s Sioned Kirkpatrick, who posted two goals against the Ladies last week, ranks second in the league with 10 goals and is two goals off the leader spot. Lizeth De La Torre from Schreiner is third in the conference in saves with 71 this season while Erin Rose ranks fifth for TLU with 54.

Centenary returns to Mayo Field on Friday, Oct. 18 as the Ladies open a season-long, four-game homestand with Trinity. Match time against the Tigers is scheduled for 6 p.m.
