SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary volleyball team fell 3-0 to the University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday afternoon to close the regular season slate. Centenary travels to San Antonio, Texas, for the double-elimination, SCAC Championship. The Ladies play against Trinity at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8.

The Patriots secured the straight-sets victory 25-10, 25-13, 25-13 to improve to 24-10 overall while Centenary falls to 5-25 on the season.

Lindsey Long led the offensive attack for the Maroon and White with four kills with Rachel Perkins dishing out eight assists in the three sets. Sarah Sumner, Chelsea Petska and Perkins paced the Ladies defensive effort as Sumner recorded a team-best eight digs with Petska and Perkins each adding seven digs.

Breanna Brummett paced the offensive effort for the Patriots with 11 kill with Rebecca Floyd adding 36 assists in the contest. Courtney Criswell led the defensive charge with 16 digs with Hali Williams and Brummett each tallying four blocks each.
