SEGUIN, Texas – The Centenary women’s soccer team fell 1-0 in overtime to Texas Lutheran to end the 2013 campaign in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

Miki Roberts headed the ball down into the corner off an assist from Courtney Brooks in the 98th minute for the contest-ending score. The shot was the only one attempted by Roberts and the 23rd by the Bulldogs in the affair.

Erica Coker tallied seven saves in the decision as the Black and Gold placed eight shots on goal.

Kalie Hughes led the way with two of the Ladies’ six shots on the day. Mary Kate Robertson, Justine Russell, Traci lee and Marissa Hughes combined for the remaining attempts as Russell and Lee placed the only shots on target for the Maroon and White.

Erin Rose claimed the win for TLU with a pair of saves as Sioned Kirkpatrick and Maegan Idrogo each attempted seven shots to lead the Bulldogs.

The outcome concludes the 40-plus year career of Centenary Hall of Famer and alum, Glenn Evans who retires at the end of the year.

Centenary wraps up the season with a 5-13-2 record.
