Ladies and Gents finish seventh at Trinity Shootout

SOUTHLAKE, Texas – The Centenary swim teams combined for a seventh place finish (360 pts.) at the Trinity Shootout. The Ladies finished sixth with 209 points while the Gents finished seventh with 151 points.

Rachel Olson paced the efforts on the Ladies’ side with three, top five finishes. The Houston, Texas, native finished second in the 100-yard, butterfly (1:00.61), third in the 200-yard, butterfly (2:13.83) and fourth in the 200-yard, individual medley (2:15.36).

Austin Butler led the efforts for the Gents. The Baton Rouge, senior posted a time of 21.77 in the 50-yard, freestyle to claim his top finish of the event in eighth place. A member of the 200-yard, freestyle relay team that finished ninth with a time of 1:29.60, Butler finished 19th in the 500-yard, freestyle (5:05.78). Beau Montgomery, Mitchell Foster and Andrew Borel joined Butler on the relay team.

Centenary returns to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Austin College Invitational in Sherman, Texas.
