SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Centenary women’s basketball team fell 97-39 at Trinity on Friday evening to drop to 0-12 overall and 0-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Tigers improved to 12-3 overall and 3-0 in league play.

DeiAnna Hall paced the Ladies with 10 points. Briana Edwards fell two points shy of totaling her eighth double-double of the season as the Shreveport, La., native posted nine points with a team-best 13 rebounds. Haley Deshautelle ranked second on the team on the glass with eight rebounds.

Allison Staley led an ensemble of Tigers with 20 points from the bench. Staley’s point total was part of 57 points from the TU bench. Bryony Harris and Randi Reinhardt each grabbed nine boards for the Black and Orange.

Centenary faced a stout Tiger defense that forced the Ladies into 26 turnovers which resulted into 26 points for TU. The Ladies were held to 23 percent shooting from the field while the Tigers connected on 50 percent from the floor.

The Ladies return to action on Saturday, Jan. 18 as they travel to Southwestern. Tip is slated for 6 p.m.
