SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary softball team dropped two contests on Friday evening at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies fell 17-1 to Evangel University to open the weekend slate before dropping a 12-1 decision to LSU-Alexandria to close the evening.

Mary Ann Allison paced the ladies at the dish collecting three hits during the two outings including a multiple hit performance against Evangel. Nicole Warren, Cadie Hancock and Amber Smith each logged a hit in the contest against EU with Hancock driving in the lone run.

Whitney Patterson and Laura Perilloux tallied a hit each in the setback to LSUA along with Allison.

Perilloux took the losses in the circle for the Maroon and White as the freshman tossed 3.2 innings combined allowing 16 runs on 18 hits with two strikeouts. Lynsi Unruh and Emma Viskozi also saw time in the circle for the Ladies. Unruh tossed a combined 5.0 frames allowing 11 runs on 12 hits with six strikeouts and four walks.  Viskozi’s only action came in the loss to LSUA as she pitched 1.1 innings and allowed just two runs on four hits with a walk.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, March 1 as the Ladies face LSUA at 10 a.m. with a 2 p.m. start against EU to close out the weekend.
