SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary softball team dropped a pair of contests on Saturday to fall to 0-8 on the season. The Ladies fell 11-1 to Evangel in the second game of the day after being blanked 17-0 in the opener against LSU-Alexandria.

Nicole Warren paced the Maroon and White at the dish batting .400 for the two games. Laura Perilloux and Cadie Hancock each posted a clip of .333 for the Ladies on the afternoon.

Lynsi Unruh and Perilloux took losses in the circle. Unruh tossed 4.1 innings in the two games allowing nine runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and three walks while Perilloux pitched 4.0 innings surrendering 13 runs on 17 hits with a strikeout.

As a squad, the Ladies collected just five hits through the two games and tallied a .147 batting average. The Ladies lone run of the game came in the second inning against EU as Perilloux scored on a throwing error by the Crusaders’ hurler.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, March 8 as the Ladies host the University of Dallas in a four-game series. First pitch Saturday is slated for Noon with an 11 a.m. start on Sunday.
