Gymnastics finishes third at Kentucky tri-meet

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Centenary gymnastics team posted a team score of 189.525 at the University of Kentucky’s triangular meet. The Ladies finished third behind the host Wildcats’ 196.150 and the University of California at Berkley’s 196.075.

Centenary tied a season-high on the vault with a team score of 47.875.

Robyn Price stood as the Maroon and White’s top performer on the vault, bars and beam while finishing fourth in the all-around with a score of 38.575. The senior finished tied for seventh on the beam with a 9.70 and tied a season-high with a 9.750 on the vault to finish 11th. Her 9.475 on the bars placed her in 13th.

Jordan Anderson posted a score of 9.70 on the floor –tying her season-high – and standing as the Ladies top finisher in the event in a tie for 11th.

Kellie Slater recorded a season-high 9.625 on the floor and tied a season-high on the vault with a 9.650. Stephanie Strickler added a season-high 9.70 on the vault. Casie Hood added season-highs on the vault and bars.

Centenary returns to action on March 15 as the Ladies travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a tri-meet at the University of Pittsburgh along with Kent State University.
