Parrott named SCAC Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Centenary’s Nic Parrott was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for efforts in the Gents 4-0 record over the past week including conference sweep of Dallas.

Parrott led the Gents with a .625 batting averaging – second on the team – while driving in 11 runs. The senior went 10-for-16 at the dish including a double, two triples, and a homerun. He tallied a 1.125 slugging percentage, an on-base percentage of .700, and scored seven times.

His biggest games came against LeTourneau, where he was 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, just a double away from the cycle. Parrott added a 3-for-4 day with three RBIs in the finale against Dallas.

Parrott becomes the first Gent to earn SCAC Player of the Week laurels since former Gent Craig Littleman on March 25 of last season.

Centenary returns to action on Tuesday, March 18 in a doubleheader at Jarvis Christian slated for 1 p.m.
