Bradshaw leads the Ladies after the first day of the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Centenary women’s golf team sits in a tie for fourth place after the opening day of the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate with a score of 343. The Ladies, who are nine strokes back of third, are tied with Jackson State University.

Sarah Bradshaw paced the Maroon and White in the opening round with a score of 81 which places her in a tie for seventh overall.  Jamie Wright and Taylor Thompson sit a stroke back of their teammate with a first day score of 82 in a tie for ninth.

Kylee Goldthorn is in 34th with a score of 98 while Jessica Thigpen rounds out the Ladies grouping with 108 in 37th.

The University of Texas at Tyler leads the team standings after the first day with a score 320 with Mary Hardin-Baylor’s A-Team is one stroke back of the Patriots with UMHB’s B-Team in third with a 334.

UMHB’s Kelly Gonyea leads the individuals with a 74 in the first round with Kaley Jackson for UMHB’s-B in second with a 78. Laura Lindsey and Taylor Sloane from UTT are tied for third with a 79.

The final round of the intercollegiate is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start.
