Gents win Hal Sutton Intercollegiate; Strickler finished second

BOSSIER CITY, La. – Centenary’s maroon team won the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate with a two-day score of 608 besting Paris Community College by nine strokes. The Gents shot a 307 on the final day. The Centenary white team finished ninth with a tournament score of 714.

Hank Strickler finished second overall with a two-day score 149 after leading the field following the first day. Strickler shot a 78 in the final round to pair with his 71. Larry Balthazar finished tied for third one stroke back of Strickler. Balthazar improved his first day score of 77 by four strokes.

Reese Chance shot a 154 for the tournament to finish tied for ninth. Chance shot a 76 on the first day and followed with a 78 in the final round. Jesper Thorsoe finished tied for 11th with a 155 after shooting a 77 in the opening round and a 78 on the final day. Jamie Gibson rounded out the maroon team with a 156 for the tournament with a 77 in the opening round and 79 to conclude the tournament.

Cory Costanza led the white team with a 161 for the tournament and finished tied for 23rd. Christopher Cates finished 42nd with a 179 with Arni Sigurdsson in 43rd with a 184. John Sidery rounded out the group with a 190 in 45th place.

Paris CC shot a 615 for the tournament with Tyler Junior College finishing third with 624. Zac Oliver won the individuals with a 142. Oliver shot a 69 on the final day to improve his score by four strokes.
